Julie has been active in her husband's dental office since 1984. Her focus is on administration, office systems and procedures, policy, long-range planning, research and development, human resources, property and equipment acquisition and implementation, marketing, and promotions.
She grew up in New Orleans and has lived in Tylertown, MS, and Bessemer, AL. She earned a degree in Journalism from The University of Alabama and then followed her roots back to New Orleans to work. She met and married Dr. Moreau in 1983, and they have raised four children.
As the TMJ and Sleep dental office has grown, Julie has been instrumental in the development of the systems incorporated at MoreSMILES Dental. She manages our medical billing procedures and orchestrates the flow of TMJ disorder and sleep apnea patients from their initial contact with our dental office.
Julie has a Master designation from the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) and is a Fellow candidate in the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH). She and Dr. Moreau serve on the Board of Louisiana Missions of Mercy and coordinate the Prosthodontics Department for free clinic services for underserved citizens in Louisiana.
She was a founding member of Northshore Tide, a chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association (NAA) and is Regional Vice President on the NAA Executive Committee, serving Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Madelaine joined the MoreSMILES Dental team in 2013, having earned her Bachelor’s in Communication and Informational Sciences from the University of Alabama. She has varying levels of training in journalism, film, graphic design, media law, political communications, and non-profit organization work. Today, what she likes most about her position is working on patient testimonials and getting to hear how much a healthier, happier smile has changed their life for the better. People often take good oral health for granted, but in the dental field, you see every day just how fixing a broken tooth, completing a smile makeover, or relieving TMJ pain completely transforms someone’s world. It’s always rewarding!
Madelaine is the oldest daughter of Dr. Moreau and Julie, with three other siblings. She and her husband married in 2018 after a decade of dating through college and his medical school training. Outside of working hours, she currently enjoys training for half marathons, going on hikes, hosting gatherings with friends, writing, and reading a variety of book genres. She also loves cooking/baking – in fact, she’s perfected her own jambalaya and gumbo recipes and even makes her own king cake from scratch every year on 12th Night.
Theresa has been a part of our dental team for over 15 years so far, and she never gets tired of caring for her wonderful patients. It’s an amazing feeling to be able to improve their health and quality of life while also building a personal connection! She studied dental hygiene at the LSU School of Dentistry and is trained in local anesthesia.
Away from work, Theresa and her husband Chris have three wonderful children – Carter, Annelise, and Piper – who keep them very busy. As for personal hobbies, she likes to run and compete in half marathons, as well as travel to national parks. Recently, her family went to Acadia National Park in Maine!
Jill is a native of Meridian, MS and came to MoreSMILES Dental by way of Fort Walton Beach, FL where she graduated in 2002 with a Dental Hygiene degree from Pensacola State College. She also continued her online studies in dental hygiene at the University of Mississippi. Her favorite part of her job is being able to educate patients about their oral health and seeing their excitement as they achieve improvements and positive changes.
Jill and her husband Bill have three daughters as well as a Goldendoodle named Beaux. Outside of the dental office, she enjoys doing Crossfit, running, skiing, taking trips to the beach, following Ole Miss football, and spending time with her family. She didn’t try her very first raw oyster until she was 38 years old!
Katie’s experience in the dental field spans over a decade so far, with most of that time spent right here at our dental office. In fact, she’s known that she wanted to become a dental hygienist ever since high school. She completed her dental hygiene training at the LSU School of Dentistry and also has training in nitrous oxide and local anesthetic. Today, what she enjoys most about her position is building relationships with both patients and other team members. Everyone feels like family!
Katie and her husband Adam have three children named Landry Kate, Graham, and Cooper, as well as a Maltipoo named Lagniappe. Her favorite hobbies outside of work include spending time with loved ones outdoors, going to Lake Martin in Alabama during the summertime, completing yardwork, gardening with her husband, and shopping with her mom and sister.
Maritza completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the LSU School of Dentistry. Today, she’s been working in this field for over 25 years! She has a true passion for helping patients improve and maintain good oral health while also building good relationships over time. As someone who speaks both Spanish and English, she can connect with people from many different walks of life.
At home, Maritza has a loving husband and two beautiful children. In her spare time, you can often find her attending sporting events with her family, going on fun trips to the beach, reading, and watching baseball – she’s a New York Yankees super fan!
