Benefit from Invisalign - the Clear Choice in Orthodontics
Traditional braces use metal wires and brackets to pull the teeth into their correct alignment. While this is effective, metal braces do come with various disadvantages, such as a noticeable, lengthy treatment. Invisalign avoids the disadvantages of traditional braces while producing the same high-quality results.
Using digital impressions of your teeth, a series of clear plastic aligners are created to gradually move them. The aligners provide a custom fit and are virtually undetectable as you wear them over your teeth. You wear each aligner in the series for about two weeks. As you progress through the series, you will notice your teeth moving into their correct position. On average, it takes about 12-18 months to complete treatment.
Thanks to iTero technology, we are able to take digital impressions, avoiding the traditional messy putty, that can be uploaded to Invisalign for a faster evaluation and estimate of time needed to complete your Invisalign treatment.
Enjoy a Comfortable Treatment
When compared to traditional braces, Invisalign in Covington has quickly become the preferred choice. Not only is it less noticeable, but more comfortable and convenient. Since no wires or brackets are used, there is no irritation to the lips or cheeks from protruding metal. Also, the aligners are removable. This allows for easy oral hygiene and no dietary restrictions. However, you will not be able to eat or drink anything but water while wearing the aligners.
Not only is the treatment length generally shorter, but you will enjoy fewer visits to the dental office. Since no wires or brackets are used, you will not need adjustments. However, you will still need to visit our dental office every few weeks so we can monitor the progression of your treatment.
